| Customer Reviews: It's at least the right color! May 27, 2010 L. Ferrigan My kids LOVE the new Alice in Wonderland movie. The problem is there are no movie tie-ins! I have no clue why because they could have made a bundle. Although this toy has button eyes (haven't a clue why) - at least it is the blue Cheshire Cat. Its soft and cute. And, its the only one available I can find! (But the eyes - goodness - didn't anyone ever tell them that the X in eyeballs on cartoons means the character is dead? I heard them talking last night about it. I wish the toy designer would have thought of that). I ended up buying two pink Cheshire Cats in the past month so I was happy to find a blue one. I just wish it wasn't "dead". And, it is smaller than I thought. About the size of a beanie baby.
LOVE IT! March 15, 2010 K. Gent 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This collectable toy is AWESOME!
I became a huge fan of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland after attending the midnight showing at my local theater, and the Cheshire Cat was my favorite character.
I've had my eye on it for a while and finally broke down and purchased it along with the Mad Hatter and the White Rabbit. They are small, but bigger than I thought they were going to be. It is very soft and absolutely adorable.
I don't really know about educational value. And as far as quality goes, I don't know how great of a judge I am, but it seems fine to me.
Really? March 7, 2010 N. day 7 out of 18 found this review helpful
The only similarity between this "plush" and the Cheshire cat in Tim Burton's new Alice movie is they're blue instead of purple and fuchsia. The cat didn't have button eyes, his smile reached way up past his eyes and was somewhat menacing. He wasn't this light grey colour and he had long hair. I can only hope that given time a better Tim Burton Cheshire cat will be made.
To sum up: I'd love to own the Burton Cheshire stuffed animal, I wouldn't buy this thing.
