| Customer Reviews: Fantastic Toy! January 15, 2010 J. Crawford (Oregon) We bought this for our 2 year old son who is bonkers for fire trucks and all rescue vehicles. We (parents, 4 year old sib, and son) have no problem opening and closing the toy. I love that it is ultra compact and can see us taking it along on many car and plane trips. This is our first "pop-up" toy but I've already bought two more to save for his birthday.
Overall an enjoyable toy June 24, 2009 Kristen M. 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 3 year old son's birthday. He's really into everything "fire-fighting," so we figured he might enjoy a "fire station." It's a little hard for him to open and close sometimes, since all the ramps have to be positioned correctly, etc. Also, it's a bit smaller-scale than I was expecting. However, overall both he and his older brother have been enjoying playing with it. They especially like the feature that allows you to "squirt water" on the "fire."
Good value for the money March 26, 2010 M. Law We got this for our three year old son for his birthday and he loves it. Not sure what the 1* poster is talking about re: difficulty - the first time we took it out of the box our five year old used the instructions to set it up herself, without help from any adults. Now that he's seen it a couple of times our son can do it.
Good: Tons of doors, trapdoors, and moving bridges - lots of things for cars to do; folds up very well.
Bad: Mediocre durability; shooty bit that is easily lost.
Overall: Whether or not it's a good value depends on how much you pay and what your budget is. We got it for $12, which is a great deal, but I'd have been happy with any price under $20.
this toy is terrible! December 26, 2009 NickNAlexMom (Norristown, PA) My husband and I have 1.75 engineering degrees between us. We needed to read the directions and then still found toy difficult to use. Quality of plastic is cheap. Our 3 and 5 year olds couldn't use--they broke it immediately. We've returned the toy.
