Ahoy, Mateys! This totally portable and storable 360 Pop-Up Pirate Island means kids can take the fun with them wherever they go. Simply crack open the case to reveal an adventure landscape complete with accessories. The pirate ship area has two tall masts with flying Jolly Roger flags and a deck large enough to accommodate the included matchbox vehicle. Croc Cove might be something you want to quietly venture through so as to not disturb the huge reptile that lives there--and is no doubt looking for lunch. The forbidden inland may be the best route to treasure lagoon where there’s tale of buried gold, but you’ll have to make that call.
You can also ward off any enemies with the firing gun. Or you can decide to relocate your island entirely. Just fold up the pirates, crocodile, treasure chest, and car in the carrying case and walk away. No assembly is required, and other Matchbox cars purchased separately can be used with the set.

This was extremely affordable. It is wonderful in the playroom, as it folds up very easily! It also came w/ extra goodies: jeep, little people, alligator and the cannon really works w/ the cannon balls. My 2yr loves it and his 5yr sister enjoys playing w/ it also. Definitely one to consider!!

I got this for my son's birthday. He loves this one because he is into pirates right now. He has other Matchbox Pop-Ups, they can connect to each other. As a mom, I like the easy storage of all the pieces into one carrying case, makes it easy when he wants to take it with him!

My five-year-old wanted this toy so bad. He likes playing with it, mostly by himself. I'm surprised that it's pretty durable since the parts are made to fold up. I'm also glad it accomodates the regular size Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars, not micros.
That said, I think more open-ended you-build-it car tracks are better and more conducive to longer, more imaginative play. However, this is good for a short play session and travels well. If your kid is pirate-crazy and loves little cars, he or she will not be disappointed with this toy.

this toy is awsome! I got it for my 11th birthday and I still love it (i'm almost 12) it is very detailed, as are most of the other pop-ups. It is huge,too.pirate theme seems to be designed for play with not only pirate themes, but others, also.the land rover 90 car is great, to, and the crocidile is nearly TWICE the lenth of the car.the cannon included also really does fire, dispite any suspitions you may have. 1000 star if there was that option.

I bought two of these this xmas season for my grandsons. One child is 3 and the other is 4. Once they opened them they didn't want to open any of the other presents and have since played with them everyday. They both insist on taking them every time they have had to go visit other relatives for holiday celebrations. The only draw back if you want to call it that is that there are some small pieces and at this age they tend to lose them. But overall it is a great imagination play toy and pirates for some reason is "awesome grandmom". I would highly recommend to this age group. I specifically bought them because the toy is self contained and can be brought with them anywhere to play especially because they visit lots of relatives homes that are not "kid oriented" since most have fully grown children and they are out of that mode.
